K.W. was born in Hong Kong in April 1975 and moved to the United States with her parents and 2 younger brothers when she was 7 years old. She is 5'4” tall, weighs 120 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. Her ethnic background: Chinese. After mastering her new language (English) in grade school she was quickly advanced to a gifted class and excelled academically, doing particularly well in math, science, art and language. She is a UC graduate who is currently designing website graphics. She loves to cook - pastries are her favorite - and is a doting aunt to her nephew, the “cutest baby in the whole world”.

S.C. was born in July 1979 and is of Hispanic background. She is a single mother raising a beautiful son. She is 5'9” tall and weighs 170 lbs. and has black hair and beautiful almond shaped brown eyes. She has completed 2 years of college and currently works as a full-time nanny. Her job allows her to be with her son all day as he participates in the activities of the 2 boys she takes care of. She and the father of her son remain close and are determined to make their son their highest priority.

D.G. was born in the Philippines in December 1984. She's 5'3” tall, 105 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. Her ethnic background: Filipino. She graduated from an exclusive culinary and hospitality university in the Philippines and now works in the sales division of one of San Francisco's most prestigious hotels. During her childhood she won numerous awards for swimming competitions and always placed, academically, in the top ten in her class. She takes her career advancement very seriously but also loves to just relax with her family and close friends. A self-described “positive” and “compassionate” person, DG is very committed to making a real difference in the lives of a couple hoping to start their own family.

M.A. was born in August 1976. She is 5'9" tall, weighs 175 lbs., has brown hair, dark brown eyes, and light olive complexion. Her ethnic background is mixed: French, Nicaraguan and Salvadoran. She is married and has 2 children. M.A. is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French. She has attended college and worked, since high school, in a hospital/medical setting. She currently works in patient registration but is determined to become a Registered Nurse and eventually work in her favorite specialty, OB-Gyn.

K.O. was born in Japan in September 1975. She's 5'2” tall, 110 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. Her ethnic background: Japanese. She remembers going to school 6 days a week, while growing up in Japan, and having lots of homework. Consistently placing in the top 3 in her classes, K.O. still made time to have fun - playing volleyball, table tennis, swimming and practicing karate. Although she holds a baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, she now plans to earn a second degree, in nursing, where she'll specialize in pediatrics. Her young daughter, the “light of my life!” is her primary inspiration for joining our egg donor program - she wants to help others reach their goals for building a happy, healthy family of their own.

K.M. was born in February 1985. She's 5'4” tall, 125 lbs., and has light brown hair and blue eyes. Her ethnic background is a mixture of Irish, German, French Canadian, Welsh and English. She's a professional animal trainer who works primarily with guide dogs for the blind and disabled. A firm believer in the personal satisfaction to be derived from donating K.M regularly gives blood and, in addition to being an egg donor, is considering being a bone marrow donor as well. She has a very outgoing, warm, fun and direct personality. Outdoors activities like hiking, biking, camping, swimming, horseback riding, scuba diving are high on her list of favorite pastimes.

T.J. was born in May 1978. She is 5'1” tall, weighs 115 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes. Her ethnic background: French and English. T.J. plans to complete her education and eventually practice as a licensed phlebotomist. She describes herself as having a pleasant, easy-going temperament. She and her husband celebrated the birth of their first son in 2002. She admits she is somewhat shy and is a “great and loyal friend”. She says her passion in her “spare” time is gourmet cooking.

J.P. was born in May 1982, is 5'1” tall, weighs 115 lbs., and has black hair and dark brown eyes. Her ethnic background: Mexican-American. She grew up in California with 2 older siblings. Her career is in education, primarily in mathematics. Her favorite pastime activities include camping, bicycle riding, going to car shows. JP is a reserved yet very personable young woman, intelligent, attractive and humble about her accomplishments.

N.S. is of Persian extraction and was born in Iran in 1977. She's 5'4” tall, 115 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes. With her parents and 2 brothers she moved to the United States in the mid-80's and quickly adjusted to her new language and community. Currently working in Human Resources at a prestigious academic research facility she plans to pursue her post-graduate degree in HR/Public Administration. Her favorite times are spent with her husband and 4 year old daughter. Among her recreational interests are the performing/fine arts, sports (basketball), writing and poetry.

M.M. was born in July 1982 and was raised in a small rural community in California. She is Caucasian, 5'9” tall, weighs 128 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes. Growing up on her grandparents' organic farm, she recalls her childhood as idyllic. As a very enterprising teenager, she opened her own after-school childcare center. She now works with “at risk” mothers and conducts workshops on postpartum issues, nutrition and breastfeeding. M.M also makes time in her hectic schedule for daily jogging, frequent yoga practice, reading and sports. Her long-range goal is to earn her Ph.D. in psychology and open her own practice.

M.S. was born in January 1983 and grew up in a close knit family with parents and twin sister. She's 5'2” tall, 100 lbs., and has brown hair and hazel eyes. Her ethnic background is a mixture of German, Portuguese and Lebanese. Working with developmentally disabled adults gives M.S. a sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment. Her gift of a kidney to her twin sister is just one example of this young woman's generous nature and maturity. Reading, poetry and listening to music with her friends and family are favorite activities of this lovely, outgoing young woman.

S.R. was born in April 1978 and grew up in a close-knit family with her parents and brother. She is 5'1” tall, 100 lbs., has light brown hair and brown eyes. Her ethnic background: Dutch, Russian and Blackfoot Indian. High school was filled with activities including gymnastics, an area in which she successfully competed while keeping her grades up and enjoying a busy social life. She will soon be completing her studies to become a Registered Nurse. Working with the Bay Area Crisis Nursery while going through nursing school has been a source of personal and professional satisfaction and enhanced her desire to become an egg donor.

H.W. was born in November 1981 and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is Caucasian, 5'6” tall, 145 lbs., has brown hair and hazel eyes. She works as a phlebotomist and enjoys spending all her free time with her young daughter and son. Some of her favorite hobbies include bicycle rides, working out at the gym, camping, family outings to Disneyland. At one time she thought she would like to have a really large family but she's decided that her life is really full and enjoyable with 2 children…and she wants to “help someone else enjoy the same gifts I have.”

J.W. was born in April 1982 and grew up in Fremont and, later, Modesto, California. She is 5'4” tall, 125 lbs., has brown eyes and hair. Her ethnic background: African-American, French and Blackfoot Indian. Among her favorite childhood memories are the many family outings and picnics to nearby parks and recreation areas. She is determined to create these same kinds of memories for her own 2 children. In her own words J.W. says she “would like to give people the chance to have children and find a new joy in their lives”.

L.U. was born in July 1976. She is 5'5” tall, weighs 135 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. Her ethnic background is Filipino. She has an associate degree in business administration and currently owns and runs her own deli/coffee shop. She is the mother of 2 children, describes herself as hard-working, analytical and very goal oriented.
