Over the past quarter century IVF and its third party variants, collectively known as Assisted Reproductive Technologies (A.R.T.s), have emerged as the most versatile and powerful therapies for all forms of infertility. The growing popularity of A.R.T. is evident in the graph below which depicts the number of IVF and donor egg cycles reported in the United States from 1985 through 2005.
